All 36 plans from Free Speaker Plans: bass bins, subs, kick bins and mid-tops from the sound system community. Every design here belongs to the person who drew it. We link straight to their plan and add notes on how to pick an 18" driver for it.
Where our WM1850/8 belongs. Scoops are the most likely fit.

Every box is designed around a set of driver numbers. Before swapping in a different 18", compare its Thiele-Small parameters with the driver the designer used and run both through a simulator such as Hornresp. Here are the WM1850/8 numbers to start from, taken from our spec sheet.
| Parameter | WM1850/8 | What it tells you |
|---|---|---|
| Fs | 42.9 Hz | Rated 40 Hz upwards: a punchy bass bin driver more than an infrasub. |
| Qts | 0.644 | Higher than most horn-loaded drivers. Suits scoops, reflex and sealed boxes better than long horns. |
| Vas | 120.9 L | A stiff suspension, so the driver works in a smaller rear chamber. |
| EBP | 62.9 | Between sealed (around 50) and vented (around 100) territory. |
| Xmax | 12 mm | Plenty of linear excursion for front-loaded designs. |
| Sd · Bl · Mms | 1244 cm² · 12.86 Tm · 250 g | Inputs you'll need for any simulation. |
| Power · Sens. | 1800 W AES · 93.5 dB | Headroom for a hard-driven system. |
WM18X451 owners: we don't publish Thiele-Small data for that driver yet, so we can't suggest a box for it. Contact us and we'll help.
